Our Approach to Assessment
At Strata Psychological Services, assessments are conducted using well-validated psychological tests and evidence-based methods. Evaluations are individualized and designed to answer the questions that brought you to seek assessment.
The goal is to provide clear, meaningful information that helps guide decisions about treatment, work, school, or other areas of life.
Psychological assessments can help provide clarity on questions of attention, learning, mood, personality, and other areas of functioning. These evaluations can diagnose ADHD, learning disabilities, and executive functioning challenges. Each assessment is followed by a thorough report, and when warranted, a letter supporting accommodations.
What the Assessment Process Looks Like
Psychological assessment typically involves several steps:
Clinical Interview (90 minutes over telehealth or in person)
A detailed interview helps us understand your history, current concerns, and the questions you hope the evaluation will answer.Psychological Testing (1-2 appointments in person)
Standardized psychological tests and questionnaires are used to gather objective information about cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Testing sessions typically take 4-7 hours total across 1-2 days.Scoring and Interpretation
Results are carefully reviewed and interpreted using evidence-based scoring procedures and considered within the context of your history and presenting concerns.Report and Feedback Session (60 minutes over telehealth or in person)
You receive a comprehensive report that includes diagnostic impressions, cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities, treatment suggestions, and accommodation recommendations. We review the findings and talk through recommendations.
Fees for Assessment
Fees for psychological evaluations range from $1,600–$3,000, depending on the complexity of the evaluation and the types of testing required.
This fee includes:
Consultation and clinical interview
Testing sessions
Scoring and interpretation of psychological tests
A comprehensive written report
A feedback session to review the results and recommendations
