Psychological Testing
& Assessment
Psychological assessment can help bring clarity to questions about attention, learning, mood, personality, and other areas of functioning. While therapy helps us to make changes in our lives, assessment focuses on understanding how we think, learn, and experience the world.
Many adults seek evaluation after years of wondering whether ADHD, anxiety, or other factors are affecting attention, organization, and follow-through. A careful evaluation can often bring a greater sense of clarity and direction.
A comprehensive evaluation can help answer questions such as:
Do I have ADHD?
Why do I struggle with focus, organization, or follow-through?
Are my difficulties related to anxiety, depression, or something else?
What strengths and challenges shape the way I learn and work?
What kinds of treatment or support would be most helpful?
The goal of assessment is not simply to assign a diagnosis, but to develop a clear and thoughtful understanding of your strengths, challenges, and needs.
Types of Evaluations Offered
ADHD Evaluations
Comprehensive assessment for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in adults and older adolescents. These evaluations examine attention, executive functioning, and related factors such as anxiety, mood, and sleep that can affect concentration.
Diagnostic Clarification
Sometimes people have received different diagnoses over time, or are unsure how to make sense of their experiences. A comprehensive evaluation can help clarify what may be contributing to current difficulties and guide treatment planning.
Psychological and Cognitive Assessment
Depending on the questions asked, evaluations may include measures of intelligence and reasoning, learning and memory, language and communication, academic achievement, processing speed, attention and executive functioning, emotional patters, and personality.
